Education
SANKALP’S strategic goals in education are primarily guided by the path-breaking Dakar Framework for Action, adopted by the World Education Forum (Dakar, Senegal, April 2000), which redefined educational strategies and underlined Education for All (EFA) as the paramount goal.
The Organisation has been putting thrust on expanding access, improving quality and ensuring equity; particularly in early childhood care and education (ECCE) and primary education. ECCE has been promoting child’s holistic development. The Organisation’s activities in primary education provide free, need-based and child-friendly non-formal education to reach the unreached children; who have cumulative socio-economic disadvantages as well as to cover the girl children to break cycle of low education among them. SANKALP’S primary education programme has the resultant impact in providing quality education, mainstreaming the children in non-formal education to the formal school system, and enhancing their retention and achievement.
