SANKALP has been adopting holistic, comprehensive, multifarious, inter-disciplinary, cross-cutting, inter-sectoral, trans-institutional, co-ordinated and sustainable strategies as per the international & national developmental goals and norms to improve the outreach and impact of its activities as well as to produce synergies in its programmatic and policy interventions.
The international and national instruments, standards, policies and practices serve as guiding principles of SANKALP’S activities.
The Organisation has a pan-Indian presence and networkling of its activities. The geographical coverage of the activities varies from the national-level or inter-State level to State-specific ones.
The Organisation has been implementing appropriate innovations, effective interventions and best practices to optimize its development efforts to cover the socially excluded and economically deprived groups of populations as well as the geographical marginalized areas.
SANKALP has been integrating national, regional and local conditions, aspirations and needs in its programmes and policies. The Organisation has been promoting the active participation of the target groups, communities, grass-roots level agencies, civil society, local self-government (Panchayati Raj Institutions and civic bodies) representatives and the governmental agencies in the design, implementation and monitoring of its results-based developmental strategies and policies. The thrust is on decentralization, bottom-up programming, participation, partnerships, linkages, collaborations and networkings.
