SANKALP’S activities are managed under the guidance of advisory committees, comprising of internationally renowned thematic experts, who provide the broad guidelines for project implementation and undertake the monitoring-review-evaluation of the project activities. The Organisational structure is based on horizontal coordination and vertical decentralisation. Each programme is carried out in a decentralised participatory manner by a team of project officials. The office and logistic support is provided by the New Delhi and State-unit offices. Voluntary effort is a key element in the programme implementation. SANKALP accords emphasis on networking with grass-root level Organisations and elected representatives of the local self-governments (PRIs and civic bodies) for conducting its programmes. The research and evaluation studies are conducted under the guidance and supervision of senior scholars.
